The story of Ricky’s Bubbles and Sweets begins with a stay-at-home mother turned business owner and entrepreneur. In the years leading up to the birth of Ricky’s, owner Jessica Boldenow, along with her husband Steve, were raising two kids in beautiful Salem, OR. All the while she had a dream of opening her own shoppe some day in the town her and her family loved and called home.

Jessica’s love and passion for candy started as it does for most of us, as a child. Everyone has those childhood memories of spending their last few cents at the neighborhood market on sweets and toys. The idea behind Ricky’s Bubbles and Sweets (named after the beloved family dog) is to not only create a nostalgic environment that  pulls grown-ups into an ever deepening  state of recollection on every shelf, but to also give children and millennials alike  a  sweet and joyful experience, whatever their age.

Now, with her daughter married and her son graduated from high school, Jessica saw it was the perfect time to see her dream manifest in heart of downtown Salem. On the average day Ricky’s will see people from all walks of life enter the shoppe and light up with smiles. Children, parents, businessmen, state senators, teens and all types of demographics now call Ricky’s their go to shoppe for gifts and sweets.
